New blog roundup, Halloween edition!

halloween_release_composite.jpg This will be my first Halloween in Second Life and I am so very excited I may burst. With that in mind, I thought I’d use this week’s blog round-up to look at some fun Halloween stuff!
Last Call by Dazzle Haute Couture (Blog, Slurl) just released a huge batch of sexy costumes in conjunction with Celestial Studios. Each costume is L$ 300.

Oct_07_prize_Promotion_2.jpg Not only is Alienbear Jewelry (Blog, Slurl) giving away what looks like a great set of silver goth spiderweb jewelry in their lucky chairs, they’ve also just come out with a limited edition version, and an adorable little pumpkin thief “kids size” version that will also be released in freebie and a limited edition versions.

DK_POELITA_THE_RAVEN_copy.jpg Draconic Kiss (Blog, Slurl) has a series of four Lolita dresses with an Edgar Allan Poe theme; cleverly named “Poelita.” They’re L$1100 and include the dress, the skin and some other Poe- themed item. The Tell-Tale Heart for example comes with a box with a beating heart and the Raven (left) comes with a Raven.

lmtdedpumpkinpatchplatforms.jpgRowan Carroll at She’s so Unusual (Blog, Slurl) makes some fun and funky shoes, and it’s nice to see something completely over the top on honor of a holiday devoted to sugar. The Pumpkin Patch Platforms I found on her blog are part of a pair of limited
edition Halloween platforms that will only be on sale until November 1. I mean who wouldn’t want candy corn heels?

If you have a blog or an event please drop me a line.

Happy Birthday Barneys Girl!

The big 21 -BG is finally legal worldwide! Here are your virtual presents:

To kick off your birthday celebration, the purple Rebecca Taylor dress (left) would be perfect for a fancy dinner and the pink Mint Jodi Arnold dress (right) would be so fab and cute for cocktails! These dresses are short enough to be cute and young, yet not too revealing. Gosh, I want them too!

Sexy, basic knee-high boots for winter (by Versace)! They might be a bit too high for school, but they’re good for all the other occassions where you don’t have to walk too much.

And more winterwear. You’ve been craving for a black, basic coat for ages. This Burberry coat is perfect for all occasions, from work to shopping, to fancy dinners and meeting up at Starbucks.

You totally needs extra stock of her new basic makeup -YSL Radiant Touch Concealer. Such an easy-to-use and good quality concealer to cover up those dark circles from late nights.

Even though you’ve got more than enough eye shadow palettes, you still hasn’t gotten around to buying a Chanel Quadra eyeshadow palette.

Tickets to the musical you’ve been wanting to watch for so long- the Legally Blonde Musical! Has anyone watched it? We both want to know how it translates from the movie to a musical.

With your HP laptop dying, here’s a gorgeous and seriously useful MacBook Pro.

Although on the 26th Oct, Mac’s going to come with the new OS, Leopard.

Finally, in the spirit of our favourite new show, Gossip Girl, get some young, hip party dresses. Remember this Catherine Maladrino dress? Serena just wore in the latest episode to a date -it’s so pretty and trendy. Loves it!

Have a fabulous time at Ruth Chris and cocktails darling! Muah!

Work Chic: Staying Simple

Here’s what I wore to work today:

The thing I love about these types of dresses is how deceptively comfy they are. They are super classy and def appropriate for work, while giving you a day of working in comfort and style. Remember, if you’re wearing a wrap dress or V-neck with a super deep V, be sure to pair with a cami to keep your look work-appropriate. How you wear it after hours is all up to you!

Patterned Dress: Banana Republic
Camisole: The Limited
Peep-Toe Linen Pumps: Banana Republic
Earrings: Chanel

Meet Seven For All Mankind’s “Jacqueline”

Don’t you love it when companies name (cute, covetable) stuff after you?

Thanks, Seven For All Mankind!

Do you have any “fashion namesakes” out there? Ever bought something because you shared a name?
